Why Riders Choose a Shop Based on Instagram, Not Just Reviews
Reviews and Instagram do two different jobs, and shops that only focus on reviews are missing half of what actually gets someone to choose them over the shop down the road.
Reviews prove you're not a scam
Star ratings and reviews answer one question: can I trust this business at all? They're important, and worth asking happy customers for, but they don't tell someone much about what your shop is actually like, what kind of work you do, or whether it fits what they're looking for.
Instagram tells them who you are
Your feed shows the actual work, the actual shop, and the personality behind it. Someone deciding between two well-reviewed shops will often check Instagram to see which one feels like a better fit, more their style of bike or build, more their kind of people.
An inactive account raises questions
A shop with great reviews but a feed that hasn't posted in six months looks inconsistent. People notice, even if they don't say so. It creates a small doubt at exactly the moment you want none.
The two work together
Reviews get you on the shortlist. Instagram is often what gets you picked off it. A shop that's active on both is doing more to earn new customers than one relying on reviews alone, especially in a niche like powersports where people care about the culture around a shop, not just the price of the work.
Building and keeping up an active Instagram presence is exactly what our Monthly Packages are built for, on top of the reviews and reputation management included in our Full plan.
